Promo Assets Expands Internship Program and Welcomes Three Interns
Promo Assets, a Lexington-based promotional product and apparel distributor, welcomes three interns for the Spring 2022 semester: Chaney Willett, Victoria Smith and Delaney Schaefer.
During the Fall 2021 semester, Promo Assets welcomed its first intern, assigned to the marketing and communication team. Since then, the internship program has developed two additional positions.
“By expanding our program to include the professional paths of account management and graphic design, we can give more students the opportunity to hone their skills while learning about the dynamic promotional product industry, said Madison Wallace, marketing director. “We are committed to coaching and developing future industry leaders and look forward to broadening the program over the upcoming years.”

Willett serves as the marketing and communication intern, creating content for Promo Assets’ website and social media channels. Willett has a B.A. in Integrated Strategic Communication from the University of Kentucky and is currently pursuing her Master’s in Communication. In past experiences, Willett has focused on public relations and writing, and is eager to create long-form and video content with Promo Assets.

Schaefer is joining as the account management intern, assisting with product design, campaign development and client relations. Schaefer is a senior at the University of Kentucky pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Integrated Strategic Communication. Schaefer’s previous experience is in consumer relationship management, and she is hoping to perfect a pitch presentation during her time with Promo Assets.

Smith serves as the graphic design intern, using her skills with InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator to create graphics for all mediums. Smith is a senior at the University of Kentucky double majoring in Integrated Strategic Communication and Digital Media and Design. She hopes to gain experience designing for clients while at Promo Assets.
The Promo Assets Internship Program offers students the opportunity to gain on-the-job experience through real-time internal and client-facing projects tailored to the student's educational background and interests. The program is open to current undergraduate and graduate students. Areas of interest include marketing, graphic design and account management. During the 16-week program, students will work on a variety of tasks that will help them amplify their business experience and explore their professional paths.
